Ulanzi ML100RGB 100W COB Lamp RGB internal Battery / USB-C

Ulanzi ML100RGB 100W COB Lamp RGB internal Battery / USB-C | Shape your light with RGB

Ulanzi ML100RGB is a 100W COB RGB lamp for creators who want coloured continuous light in their setup. It suits video makers, portrait photographers and small production teams working on interviews, social content or product scenes. The RGB output gives you the option to use colour as part of the lighting, rather than relying only on a conventional white-light look. An internal battery can be handy when you need to place the lamp away from a mains outlet, while USB-C gives you a connection for power. The honest point to keep in mind: the title tells you the power rating and connection, but not how long the battery lasts, so plan a shoot around your actual session rather than assuming a runtime. If you want one light that can contribute colour to a continuous-light setup, this model is a focused option to consider.

Where it fits in a lighting setup

A continuous lamp is useful when you want to see the effect of your light while composing a shot. You can try it as a key light on a talking subject, use it to add colour behind someone, or aim it at a product scene for a more deliberate look. Those are setup ideas, not fixed roles: the right placement depends on the room, the subject and the mood you’re after. For a simple video setup, start with the subject and background, then decide where a coloured accent would help the frame. For still-life work, small changes in angle can alter how a surface looks on camera. The ML100RGB brings RGB colour and a 100W rating together in a compact product name, but your lighting plan still matters. Think about where you’ll position it and what you want the light to do before building the rest of the scene around it.
