Urth 39mm ND64 (6 Stop) Lens Filter Pro
Urth 39mm ND64 (6 Stop) Lens Filter Pro | Longer exposures in bright light
Smoother water and softened cloud movement are easier to capture when you can use a slower shutter speed in daylight. The Urth 39mm ND64 Lens Filter Pro reduces the light reaching your camera by six stops, giving you more room to lengthen exposure without changing your scene. It suits landscape photographers and anyone who wants motion blur in bright conditions, rather than a frozen record of every ripple or passing cloud. The 39mm size is for a lens with a matching 39mm filter fitting. ND64 is a fixed-strength filter, so it’s most useful when you want a substantial reduction in light; it isn’t a variable filter for fine-tuning the strength as conditions change. If long exposures are the look you’re after, this gives you a clear, predictable starting point.
Specialist Note
The Urth 39mm ND64 is made for one job: letting you use much longer exposures in bright light. Its six-stop reduction cuts incoming light to one sixty-fourth, which makes a real difference when you’re trying to show movement rather than freeze it. For example, a shutter speed around 1/60 sec becomes roughly 1 sec at the same aperture and ISO—handy for softening a stream or giving clouds a gentle sweep. It’s a good fit for landscape photographers whose lens takes a 39mm filter. One thing to keep in mind: six stops is a strong, fixed reduction, so in dim light you may need a tripod or a higher ISO to get the exposure you want.
