Urth 52mm Variable ND2 32 Filter Pro
Urth 52mm Variable ND2 32 Filter Pro | Adjust light without changing filters
The defining choice is a variable neutral-density range: instead of choosing a single fixed strength, you can adjust how much light reaches the camera. That makes this filter useful when the light changes or you want to keep a particular shutter speed while filming outdoors. Its 52mm size is the key fit detail; it’s intended for a lens with a matching 52mm filter thread. The ND2–ND32 range gives you room to make a modest reduction or a much stronger one, depending on the scene and your settings. I’d consider it for video makers who want control over shutter speed in bright conditions, and for photographers aiming for motion blur in daylight. It’s a simple idea with a practical benefit: one adjustable filter can cover several levels of light reduction.
Specialist Note
You can adjust the light reduction as you work, rather than taking one filter off and fitting another. For a 52mm-thread lens, that keeps the setup straightforward; the variable ND2–ND32 range lets you start with a lighter reduction and increase it if the scene is still too bright. I’d use it for outdoor video when you want to keep shutter speed consistent, or for a daylight waterfall shot where a slower shutter can soften the moving water. The result depends on the available light and your camera settings, so there isn’t one shutter speed I’d prescribe. Keep the adjustment measured as you dial in the exposure.
