Urth 62 72mm Magnetic Step Up Ring Lens Filter Adapter
Urth 62 72mm Magnetic Step Up Ring Lens Filter Adapter | Share 72mm magnetic filters with a 62mm lens
The step-up size is the defining choice: this adapter bridges a lens with a 62mm filter thread to a 72mm filter. Urth makes it for photographers who want to use a larger magnetic filter on a lens with the smaller thread size, rather than keep a separate filter for every lens. It’s best suited to a setup where those two sizes already match your lens and filter. Fit the ring to the lens, then attach the magnetic filter; the adapter gives you a straightforward way to bring that filter into the setup. That can be handy when changing lenses during a landscape session or keeping a preferred filter available across a kit. The sizing is specific, though: it’s an up-step from 62mm to 72mm, not a general adapter for other thread sizes.
Specialist Note
At the desk, a 62mm-thread lens is ready, but the magnetic filter you want to use is 72mm. This is the small link that makes those two parts work together. I’d suggest it to someone who already owns a 72mm magnetic filter and wants to use it on a lens with a 62mm thread: fit the ring first, then attach the filter. It can be particularly useful when you’re switching between lenses for landscapes and want to keep using the same filter. Just keep the direction in mind—it steps up to a larger filter size, so it won’t solve a mismatch involving other thread sizes.
