Urth 67mm Variable ND2 32 Filter Pro

Urth 67mm Variable ND2 32 Filter Pro | Adjustable light reduction

Smoother-looking water and more controlled exposures in bright light are easier to achieve when you can adjust how much light reaches the camera. The Urth 67mm Variable ND2 32 Filter Pro is a variable neutral density filter, with a range from ND2 to ND32. It suits photographers and filmmakers who want to manage exposure without changing the lighting around them: for example, to use a slower shutter speed for moving water or to keep a chosen aperture in daylight. Its adjustable density lets you respond as the light or your settings change. The 67mm size is for a lens with a matching 67mm filter thread, so it’s worth checking the size printed on your lens before choosing it. This is a focused tool for exposure control, rather than a general-purpose UV filter; its value is in giving you a range of light reduction in one filter.

Using a variable ND filter

Choose your intended shutter speed or aperture first, then adjust the filter’s density until the exposure suits the scene. For a long exposure of a stream, you can reduce the light reaching the camera so a slower shutter speed is practical in brighter conditions. For video, set the motion and exposure choices you want, then use the filter to manage the incoming light. The ND2–ND32 range gives you room to adjust, though the right setting will depend on the scene and your camera settings.
