Urth 95mm Magnetic CPL Filter Pro
Urth 95mm Magnetic CPL Filter Pro | Reduce glare at capture
Without a polarising filter, reflections and bright glare can be difficult to control in the original shot. The Urth 95mm Magnetic CPL Filter Pro is a circular polarising filter for photographers who want to manage those reflections as they take the picture, rather than relying on editing afterwards. A CPL can reduce glare from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass, and can deepen the appearance of a blue sky when the shooting angle is right. That makes it useful for landscapes, buildings and product photography where reflected light distracts from the subject. Its effect is adjustable: turn the filter while looking through the viewfinder or at the screen to see how the reflections change, then settle on the amount that suits the scene. It’s a focused tool for controlling light, not a general fix for every bright or reflective surface.
Specialist Note
A polariser can’t remove every reflection, and its effect depends on the direction of the light; I’d still choose this one when controlling glare in-camera matters to your picture. The 95mm size means it’s intended for a lens that accepts that filter diameter, so it’s worth matching the size to your lens before planning a setup. Its magnetic design is useful if you regularly fit and remove a filter, rather than leaving one on the lens all day. For a waterside landscape, rotate it as you frame until distracting reflections ease; for glass or a glossy product, adjust it while watching the surface. It suits photographers who want that control at the point of capture.
