Urth Lens Mount Adapter Contax/Yashica (C/Y) Lens To Micro Four Thirds (M4/3) | Use your C/Y lens on M4/3

Your Contax/Yashica lens can be part of a Micro Four Thirds setup, giving an existing lens a place in a different camera system. This Urth mount adapter is for photographers who already own a C/Y lens and want to use it with a Micro Four Thirds camera. Its appeal is focused and practical: it bridges those two named mounts, so you can build around a lens you already have rather than leaving it out of your kit. That makes it worth considering for a portrait setup, a still-life arrangement, or simply keeping a familiar lens in use while working with an M4/3 camera. The adapter doesn’t change which lens you own; it provides the mount connection between lens and camera. If your lens is Contax/Yashica and your camera is Micro Four Thirds, this is the pairing it’s made for.

Specialist Note

A common first-time adapter mistake is focusing on the lens brand and overlooking the mount at the camera end. This one makes the pairing clear: C/Y is the lens side, and Micro Four Thirds is the camera side. That’s handy if you’re bringing a Contax/Yashica lens into an M4/3 portrait setup; compose around the framing your lens gives you, rather than expecting the adapter to change the lens itself. It also suits still-life work, where you can take your time arranging the subject and making small framing adjustments. Its scope is specific, which is helpful when the mounts match, but it isn’t a universal solution for every lens and camera combination.
