VAXIS Noga Arm 7'' 1/4
VAXIS Noga Arm 7'' 1/4 | Position a microphone within a short reach
Without a positioning arm, changing where a microphone sits can mean shifting the stand or rearranging the space around it. The VAXIS Noga Arm 7'' 1/4 is a compact microphone accessory for bringing a microphone closer to a chosen position. Its 7-inch length gives you a defined, short reach, while the 1/4 designation identifies its fitting size for a matching connection. That makes it worth considering for a desk recording setup, a small interview space or another situation where you want to place a microphone without moving a larger stand into the working area. It suits people who already have a compatible 1/4-inch mounting point and need a little extra positioning freedom. Think of it as a way to place a mic nearby, rather than as an arm for spanning a wide gap or reaching across a room.
For spoken recordings, the practical aim is to bring the microphone nearer to the speaker while keeping the immediate desk or work surface less crowded. In a compact setup, that small change in placement can make the recording position easier to arrange. The arm’s short reach is also a useful boundary to keep in mind: plan to mount it close to where the microphone needs to sit.
Specialist Note
Is the VAXIS Noga Arm 7'' 1/4 long enough to bring a microphone into position at a desk? Yes, when the mounting point is already close by; its 7-inch length is a short reach, not a way to bridge a large distance. For a spoken recording, attach it at a nearby 1/4-inch point and use that reach to bring the mic toward the speaker, leaving more room directly in front of them. It can also help position a microphone just off to the side of a compact work area. I’d match it to a setup that needs precise nearby placement, and choose a longer arm if the mounting point is far away.
