Kase Revolution Plus R-Mcuv 72 mm
Kase Revolution Plus R-Mcuv 72 mm | A simple layer of front-lens protection
A dusty front element or an accidental fingerprint can interrupt a shoot and mean cleaning the lens when you’d rather be taking pictures. The Kase Revolution Plus R-Mcuv is a protection filter, giving the front of a lens a separate surface that’s easier to wipe than the lens itself. Its name identifies it as a UV filter, too. It suits photographers who want a straightforward protective filter on a lens with the matching filter size, whether that lens is used for everyday photography or kept ready for less tidy conditions. The practical benefit is simple: you can clean the filter when it picks up marks, rather than handling the front element every time. It’s a small addition to a kit, but one that can make routine lens care less fiddly. Treat it as a protective layer, not as a shield against every kind of damage.
For fit, use the filter-size marking on your lens as your guide: it needs to match the size in this product’s name. A filter that doesn’t match won’t attach as intended. Once fitted, keep the glass clean and remove the filter when you don’t want an extra surface in front of the lens. That’s a sensible, uncomplicated way to use a protection filter without expecting it to change how you photograph.
Specialist Note
A filter can’t prevent damage from a hard knock, so I wouldn’t treat this as armour for a lens. Its appeal is the simpler, everyday job: keeping dust and fingerprints off the front element. The R-Mcuv name identifies it as a UV filter, while the protection category tells you its role in your kit; think of it as a replaceable surface to clean, not a way to alter your pictures. It suits anyone who wants extra help with routine lens care. If you’re working somewhere dusty, fitting it before you start means you can wipe the filter rather than repeatedly touching the lens itself.
