The Meike 16mm T2.5 Cine Lens is an ultra-wide prime for Canon EF mount cameras, covering the full-frame format and intended for video and filmmaking. Its 16mm focal length gives you a distinctly wide view, with an estimated 107° angle of view to help include more of a scene. That makes it a considered option for filmmakers working in confined rooms, capturing architecture or setting a location in context. As a fixed-focal-length cine lens, it suits operators who prefer to build a shot around a chosen viewpoint rather than change focal length mid-take. It’s a focused tool for deliberate wide shots, not a general-purpose lens for every scene.

Specialist Note

First-time users of a 16mm lens sometimes assume the wide view will make every composition work; the camera’s position still matters. Keep the camera level for interiors, and watch objects near the edges, where perspective can feel pronounced.
