Yongnuo YN650EX-RF Speedlite For Canon

Yongnuo YN650EX-RF Speedlite For Canon | Wireless control for Canon flash setups

For indoor events and portrait sessions, the Yongnuo YN650EX-RF Speedlite For Canon adds controllable flash light, with a guide number of 197 at ISO 100. Its fully manual operation puts flash output under your control, so you can shape the contribution of the flash to suit the scene rather than rely on automatic adjustment. At a reception, it provides extra light for people in dim surroundings; for indoor portraits, manual flash suits a planned lighting setup; in harsh sunshine, use it as fill to lighten shadowed faces. The zoom head reaches a 200mm setting, and wireless operation gives it a role in off-camera lighting as well as on-camera use. Four selectable channels support wireless setups, while the broad wireless range is useful when the flash needs to be placed away from the camera. It can also act as a master controller for compatible Yongnuo and Canon EX-series flash units, making it a more flexible part of a multi-flash arrangement than a speedlight used only on the camera. Canon DSLR compatibility covers a wide range of models, from the 300D and 5D II through to the 1500D and 5D IV. It’s a straightforward option for Canon users who want manual control and wireless flash functions in one speedlight.

Light and control

• Manual flash operation: Set the flash contribution yourself for a considered lighting setup. This suits repeatable portrait arrangements where you want direct control over the light.
• Zoom head to 200mm: The head’s zoom range includes a 200mm setting, giving you a narrower flash spread for subjects framed with longer focal lengths.
• Four wireless channels: Choose between four channels when setting up wireless flash. This gives you options for coordinating the flash with a compatible controller.
• Wireless master function: The unit can command compatible Yongnuo and Canon EX-series flashes off camera. That makes it useful as the control point in a multi-flash lighting setup.
• Wireless receiver function: It can also receive a wireless signal from compatible Yongnuo and Canon controllers. Use it as a remotely fired flash rather than keeping it on the camera.
• Stroboscopic mode: A stroboscopic flash mode is available alongside manual flash. It adds a repeating-flash option for effects that call for multiple bursts during an exposure.
• Instant sync and skip reflash: These functions are included among its operating features, offering extra options for controlling flash timing.

Wireless system compatibility

As a master, the YN650EX-RF can trigger the YN650EX-RF, YN600EX-RT II, YN568EX II, 600EX (II)-RT and 580EX II, along with compatible camera flash systems. The listed wireless control also covers the 7D, 60D and 600D camera flash systems. YN585EX and YN320EX are exceptions to the Yongnuo and Canon EX-series flash compatibility described for master operation.
