Hama Directional Microphone RMN Uni
Hama Directional Microphone RMN Uni | Aim your recording at the sound
Without a separate microphone, you’re relying on whichever mic is already part of your recording setup. The Hama Directional Microphone RMN Uni gives you a dedicated microphone whose directional design lets you point it towards the sound you want to record. It suits people recording spoken content, such as an interview or a presenter speaking to camera, where the main voice comes from a clear direction. Aim the microphone towards the person speaking and keep that direction consistent as you record. That makes it a practical accessory to consider when you want more control over where your recording is focused, rather than relying on a general-purpose mic. Its purpose is straightforward: capture sound with a directional microphone. It’s a simple option for a recording setup where the speaker’s position is known, though it can’t make a noisy space quiet or replace careful placement.
Specialist Note
A directional microphone won’t remove every sound around your subject, so I wouldn’t treat it as a fix for a noisy room. Its value is that you can aim it at the voice you care about. For a one-person presentation, point it towards the speaker and keep the speaker in the same position; for an interview, aim it towards the person talking. The RMN Uni is a good fit when that kind of straightforward, directed recording is what you need. Its black finish is visually restrained in a setup where you’d rather the microphone didn’t draw attention. I’d choose it for spoken recordings with a clear source, not as a promise of silence in the background.
