Nikon LC-67 67mm Lens Cap
Nikon LC-67 67mm Lens Cap | Keep the lens front covered between shots
Without a cap, the front of a lens is left exposed while it’s in a bag or between photographs. The Nikon LC-67 is a 67mm lens cap for covering that front surface when you’re not shooting. Its key detail is the size: match the 67mm marking on the cap to a lens that takes a 67mm cap. That makes it a straightforward replacement if your original has gone missing, or a spare to keep with your camera gear. It’s useful for everyday storage and for pauses during a photo session, when you want to put the lens down or pack it away without leaving the front uncovered. This is a small, specific accessory rather than a general lens protector; it covers the lens front, not the rest of the lens. For the right 67mm fitting, it’s a simple way to keep that exposed surface covered when the camera isn’t in use.
Specialist Note
Will the Nikon LC-67 fit my lens? It will if your lens takes a 67mm cap; that size is the detail to match, rather than the camera body. I’d use it whenever the lens is off the camera or the camera is going back into a bag: fit the cap over the front before packing, then remove it when you’re ready to shoot. The LC-67 name also makes it easier to identify this specific cap when you need a replacement. Just keep in mind that it covers the front of the lens only, so it isn’t a substitute for protecting the rest of your gear.
