Permajet Fine Art Semi Gloss Canvas 360 Roll 17INCHES 12m

Permajet Fine Art Semi Gloss Canvas 360 Roll 17INCHES 12m | Canvas for considered print display

For prints with a canvas look and a gentle sheen, the Permajet Fine Art Semi Gloss Canvas 360 Roll gives you a roll format measuring 17 inches wide and 12 metres long. It’s aimed at people making canvas prints who want to work from a roll rather than individual sheets. The semi-gloss finish sits between a fully glossy and a matte appearance, giving the printed image some visible sheen without making gloss the defining feature. That makes it a considered option for photographs or artwork intended to be displayed as a print. The useful part of this format is its continuous length: you can plan a run of prints around the roll, rather than buying separate pieces for each image. It’s a specific kind of print surface, so the appeal is as much the canvas character as the semi-gloss finish.

Choosing a canvas finish

Canvas gives a print a different visual presence from a smooth paper surface. It’s worth thinking about the finished image and where you’d like it to be seen: a semi-gloss surface keeps a degree of sheen in the presentation, while the canvas format itself gives the print its distinctive character. The product name identifies the material as Fine Art Semi Gloss Canvas 360; it doesn’t tell us how a particular image will look once printed, so the final effect will depend on the image and the print setup. For someone planning several canvas prints, a roll is a straightforward format to work with. The 12-metre length gives you material in a continuous roll, and the 17-inch width is the key size to consider when planning your prints.
