Permajet Omega Rag 310 Roll 44INCHES 15m

Permajet Omega Rag 310 Roll 44INCHES 15m | Photo paper in a wide roll format

When a print needs to be made from a roll rather than a pre-cut sheet, the Permajet Omega Rag 310 gives you a 44-inch-wide format with 15 metres of paper to work through. It’s photo paper for photographers and printmakers whose workflow calls for a roll of this size. The name also includes “310”, but the title alone doesn’t tell us what that number refers to, so I wouldn’t read a unit or paper weight into it. The practical point is the format: you’re buying a roll, not a pack of individual sheets. That makes it important to match the roll width to the printer and print sizes you use. If those suit your setup, the length gives you material for a run of prints without switching between sheets. It’s a specific size, so measuring your intended print area before choosing is sensible.

Choosing a roll for your workflow

Roll paper is worth considering when your printing process is already organised around roll-fed media. Think about the widest print you plan to make, and whether a 44-inch roll suits the printer you intend to use. Then consider how you’ll handle the finished prints: decide on cut lengths and allow yourself room to trim them to the final size. Those are practical workflow decisions, not special features of this paper. The 15-metre length can be useful when you’re planning multiple prints from one roll, but how much you’ll use depends on the sizes and number of prints you make. I’d treat the name as the starting point, then check that the roll dimensions fit your printer and workspace before building a print run around it.
