Falcon Eyes Diffuse Cloth For ESBU-5075 For SS Serie

Falcon Eyes Diffuse Cloth For ESBU-5075 For SS Serie | Softer light from a white diffuser

The defining choice is the white diffuse cloth: white diffusion is used to spread light more evenly and soften its effect on a subject. This cloth is intended for the Falcon Eyes ESBU-5075 in the SS series, so it suits photographers and small studios already working with that named setup. Its clearest purpose is straightforward: add diffusion when direct light looks too hard, or when you’d like a gentler transition from lit areas to shadows. It’s a focused accessory rather than a lighting unit in its own right. In practice, the result depends on the light source, its position and the distance to your subject, so expect to adjust your setup rather than rely on the cloth alone. If you use an ESBU-5075 from the SS series and want a white diffusion cloth for that arrangement, this is the specific item named for it.

What diffusion changes

Diffusion changes the character of light; it doesn’t create light by itself. In general, a diffusing surface spreads light over a wider area, which can make shadows look softer. The effect varies with the size and placement of the light relative to the subject, so a small change in position can matter. That’s useful to keep in mind when working with portraits or product scenes: the cloth is one part of the lighting arrangement, and moving the light may change the look as much as adding diffusion. White is the stated colour here. There’s no need to treat that as a promise of a particular colour temperature or a fixed level of softness; those depend on the complete setup.
