A distinguishing feature of the S5 II rests in its 24-megapixel 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor, allowing an impressive light intake leading to crisp, clear images. Consistent Autofocus and enhanced Stabilization

The newly upgraded image sensor has hybrid phase-detection autofocus for the first time in the LUMIX line. This hybrid system merges phase detection with contrast detection, resulting in a fast and reliable focus. The system can easily identify subjects, even in challenging light conditions. Once the focus is locked, it vigilantly tracks the subject across the screen. Continuous autofocus and AF micro adjustments are also available when zooming.

The Lumix S5 II is equipped with massively improved image stabilization, offering stable, robust handheld shots. Active image stabilization plays a pivotal role under testing conditions, such as using a telephoto lens or filming while moving. It stabilizes your videos by optimizing horizontal, vertical, and rotational corrections.

The mirrorless camera shares similar exceptional video performance levels with the Lumix S1H. It films in 4:2:0 10-bit 6K (3:2) and 5.9K (16:9) at 30fps, and 4:2:2 C4K/4K at 60fps. High Frame Rate recording up to 120 fps and slow motion up to 180fps are easily achievable. It can utilize multiple color profiles like 14+ stop V-log and V-Gamut. Moreover, the introduction of a REAL TIME LUT function enables you to upload color correction LUTs to an SD card and apply them directly on the camera. This eliminates the need for adjustments during post-processing.

The camera is equipped with several features that lead to superior photos with a streamlined workflow. Features like AWB lock, MF assist, and a new Live Crop function offer a highly refined photography experience. Connectivity options include HDMI type-A and USB 3.2 gen 2. Stable and speedy wireless connection with smartphones and tablets is facilitated by WiFi 5GHz. Dual UHS-II memory card slots ensure ample space is always available.
