SmallRig 6705 Mount Plate For Sony Alpha 7R VI
SmallRig 6705 Mount Plate For Sony Alpha 7R VI | Ready for tripod setups
Set up your Sony Alpha 7R VI for tripod-based shooting with the SmallRig 6705 Mount Plate. It’s a specialist tripod accessory for photographers who want to use this camera on a tripod for considered framing, rather than relying on a handheld setup. That makes it relevant for landscape compositions, still-life work and other situations where you want to position the camera and keep the framing steady while you work. The mount plate’s purpose is straightforward: provide a mounting point for the camera as part of a tripod setup. It doesn’t change how the camera takes pictures; it supports the way you work with it. If your Alpha 7R VI spends time on a tripod, this is the kind of dedicated accessory to consider. Its appeal is the specific pairing with the named camera, not a long list of extra functions.
Specialist Note
The SmallRig 6705 Mount Plate is made to give the Sony Alpha 7R VI a tripod-mounting point. I’d consider it when you want to work with this camera in a fixed position, especially for a landscape where you’re refining the composition or a still life where you want to keep the framing consistent as you arrange the scene. Set the camera on your tripod, compose, then make your adjustments without having to rebuild the framing from scratch each time. It’s a focused accessory for tripod use, not a general camera support, so it makes most sense when that’s the job you need it to do.
