Shape FS72RH 1 | Added support for handheld video

Your handheld video can feel more supported as you work, so you can keep operating by hand instead of stopping to set up a fixed support. The Shape FS72RH 1 is a shoulder rig for video makers who need extra support during handheld camera work. It suits takes where you’re actively operating the camera and want shoulder-based support as you follow the action or adjust your framing. Think of a moving interview, a short behind-the-scenes sequence, or event coverage where you need to stay mobile. The aim is practical: support the camera through a take while keeping the freedom to move and reframe. This is a focused tool for handheld video, rather than a general support for every shooting situation. If your work often involves carrying and operating the camera at the same time, the FS72RH 1 addresses that need without asking you to settle into a fixed position.

Specialist Note

The “1” in Shape FS72RH 1 is part of the model name; in practice, the key point is its role as a shoulder rig for handheld work. I’d consider it for interview coverage or following someone through a location, where you need to adjust your framing as the scene changes. Keep your movement deliberate and use the shoulder support as you operate; that suits the kind of video work this rig is meant for. It’s for people who spend a take on their feet and want added support without giving up handheld operation. One honest qualification: this is a focused option for handheld video, not for a locked-off shot.
