Zacuto 32 Right Angle Mini To Standard USB Cable

Zacuto 32 Right Angle Mini To Standard USB Cable | A turned route for USB connections

Route a USB connection through a viewfinder setup where a straight plug would send the cable in an awkward direction. The Zacuto 32 Right Angle Mini To Standard USB Cable is a mini-to-standard USB cable with a right-angle connector, giving the cable a turned exit at the connection. It suits a rig that needs those two USB connection types and would benefit from an angled rather than straight cable route. That’s the specific job this cable is built around: joining mini and standard USB connections while changing the direction the cable leaves the connector. When space around a viewfinder connection is limited, that direction can matter. You can route the lead away from the connector instead of having it project straight out. It’s a focused accessory; its appeal is in that particular connector pairing and right-angle design.

When matching a cable to a setup, the two connection formats are the first thing to consider. This cable is identified as mini to standard USB, so it’s suited to a connection that calls for those two formats at opposite ends. The right-angle design is the other defining detail. It changes the cable’s route at the connector, which may be useful when a straight plug points toward something you’d rather keep clear. The name gives you a precise starting point for judging the fit: Zacuto, a 32 designation, a right-angle design and a mini-to-standard USB connection. This isn’t described as a general adaptor or a cable with interchangeable ends. If the connection pairing matches your viewfinder setup, the angled exit is the practical detail to weigh when planning where the cable will run.
