ACT 1m High Performance VGA Extension Cable Male-Female

ACT 1m High Performance VGA Extension Cable Male-Female | Add a metre of reach

Without an extension, a VGA cable has to reach all the way to the connection point. This ACT cable adds a metre between male and female ends, giving an existing VGA connection a little more reach. It suits a setup where the cable is just short of where you need it, and you want an extension rather than a different cable length. Its job is straightforward: extend a VGA connection by 1m. That makes it most useful for a small gap, not for routing a cable a long way across a room. The title describes it as high performance, but the practical detail to focus on here is its length and male-female layout. If a metre is enough to solve the reach problem, this is a simple cable to consider. No extra functions are implied by that description; it’s an extension cable.

A straightforward way to add reach

In use, the cable sits between an existing VGA cable and the connection it needs to reach. The male-female arrangement is the key detail: it identifies this as an extension, rather than a cable with two matching ends. One metre can help when a connection is nearly within reach and you’d rather keep the existing cable in place. It’s a modest amount of extra length, so the benefit is easy to judge against your setup: the cable either needs about a metre more reach or it doesn’t. There’s no reason to expect it to change what a VGA connection does; its purpose is to extend that connection. For a small distance gap, that’s the useful distinction.
