ACT 80 Meters 8K DP 2.1 DP40 UHBR10 LSZH Active Optical Cable (AOC)

ACT 80 Meters 8K DP 2.1 DP40 UHBR10 LSZH Active Optical Cable (AOC) | Long DisplayPort reach for demanding links

Its 80-metre length is what sets this cable apart: it’s made for a DisplayPort connection that needs to cover a long distance. It suits anyone planning a lengthy cable route and looking for an 8K DP 2.1 cable, including setups where the screen and source device can’t sit close together. The title also identifies it as DP40, UHBR10, LSZH and an active optical cable (AOC). Those are the product’s stated classifications; the practical point is that this is a specific long-run cable, not a general-purpose accessory for every connection. If you’re choosing between lengths, be honest about the route you need to cover. Eighty metres is a substantial reach, so it makes most sense when a shorter cable won’t do the job. It’s a focused option for that requirement.

Planning a long cable run

Before choosing any cable for a long route, measure the path it needs to follow rather than the straight-line distance between the two devices. A route may need to go around furniture, along a wall or through an installation space, and those turns can add length. Leave yourself enough room to connect the cable at both ends without pulling it tight. It’s also worth thinking through where the cable will run and how you’ll keep the path tidy, especially if it crosses an area people use. These are simple checks, but they can save a frustrating re-route after the equipment is in place. Once you’ve worked out the actual path, compare that measurement with the cable length and decide whether the extra reach is useful for your setup.
