Avantone Pro SSM Professional Smount For Small-Capsule Mics
Avantone Pro SSM Professional Smount For Small-Capsule Mics | A dedicated mount for small-capsule microphones
Its defining feature is its specific purpose: the Avantone Pro SSM is a professional Smount for small-capsule microphones, rather than a general microphone accessory. That makes it relevant when you’re choosing a mount for a small-capsule mic and want the accessory to match that type of microphone. It suits recording enthusiasts, musicians and spoken-word creators who are putting together a setup around a small-capsule mic, whether that’s for voice or an instrument. The product name keeps the brief clear, too: this is a Smount, not a microphone or a complete recording setup. That focused role is useful when you already know the kind of mic you’re using and need its corresponding mounting accessory. It’s a more specific purchase than a general-purpose mount, so its appeal depends on working with the small-capsule category. If that describes your microphone setup, the SSM gives you a dedicated option to consider.
Specialist Note
One small-capsule mic is the place to start: this is a dedicated Smount for that microphone type, not an all-purpose accessory. I’d consider it for a spoken-voice setup or an instrument recording when your chosen mic is small-capsule; the practical step is simply to use the SSM as that mic’s mounting accessory in the setup. The “professional” designation is part of the product name, while the useful point for choosing is the stated small-capsule application. Its specific remit is also its limit: if your microphone isn’t a small-capsule model, the product information here doesn’t establish a fit. For the right mic, that clear match is the reason to look at it.
