BORG 4531 M42EXTENSION Barrel SBK
BORG 4531 M42EXTENSION Barrel SBK | An M42 extension component
The BORG 4531 M42EXTENSION Barrel SBK is an extension barrel identified as M42, rather than a complete lens. Its value is straightforward: it’s the component to look for when an optical setup calls for an M42 extension barrel. That makes it relevant to photographers and astronomy enthusiasts assembling or adjusting a system around this type of part, especially when they need an extension component rather than another lens. The title gives this part a clear role, but not a specific application or a stated extension amount, so I’d treat it as a purpose-specific part, not a general-purpose accessory. Its best use is in a setup that explicitly calls for an M42 extension barrel. If that’s what your build needs, the BORG name and 4531 designation make this a clearly identified part to consider.
Specialist Note
42, in the M42 designation, is the practical clue here: this is an extension barrel for a setup that calls for M42, not a lens in its own right. The other useful detail is 4531, the part’s model designation; keep that number with your parts notes so you can identify this specific BORG component when planning or maintaining a build. I’d consider it for a system where an extension barrel is already part of the intended arrangement. The honest limit is that the title doesn’t tell us how much extension it provides, so I wouldn’t choose it based on a particular focus or magnification result alone.
