Canon WS-20 Video Wrist Strap
Canon WS-20 Video Wrist Strap | Keep your camera close at hand
The defining choice is the wrist-worn format: it keeps a camera close to your hand while leaving your fingers free when you’re not actively holding it. The Canon WS-20 is a video wrist strap, intended for people who want a wrist strap for a camera used to record video. It can suit handheld filming where you’re adjusting your grip or moving between shots, as well as keeping a camera nearby during pauses in recording. Its name identifies it as a Canon accessory, but doesn’t specify which cameras it fits, so I wouldn’t assume compatibility from the brand alone. This is a straightforward accessory, rather than a strap with stated technical features to compare. If wrist carry is the way you prefer to keep a camera close, the WS-20 is the model to consider; it isn’t a shoulder strap for carrying a camera across your body.
Specialist Note
With a wrist strap, the camera stays close as you shift between framing and handling; you don’t have to keep it up to your eye between moments. The WS-20’s “Video” designation makes it a natural one to consider for handheld recording, while “Wrist Strap” tells you the intended way to carry it. I’d look at it for short clips or moving from one setup to another, wearing it on your wrist as you reposition the camera. It suits someone who prefers a direct, hand-close carry. One point to keep in mind: this is a wrist strap, not a shoulder-carry solution.
