Cartoni AH979 Telescopic Pan Bar + Attachment
Cartoni AH979 Telescopic Pan Bar + Attachment | Reach for a steadier pan
For a measured camera pan across a scene, a pan bar gives you a point to guide the movement from beside the tripod. The Cartoni AH979 Telescopic Pan Bar + Attachment is a tripod accessory for operators who want that direct control while framing a shot. Its telescopic design lets you adjust the bar’s reach, which can help you find a more comfortable position for a slow sweep or for following movement across the frame. It’s particularly suited to tripod-based video work where a small change in camera direction needs to feel deliberate rather than improvised at the camera itself. The product name also specifies an attachment, making this a bar-and-attachment option rather than a standalone pan bar. It’s a focused piece of kit: the value is in how you guide the pan, not in adding camera features or changing the tripod’s role.
Specialist Note
The AH979 gives you a more natural reach for guiding a tripod pan than leaning over to steer the camera itself. I’d look at it for a slow sweep across a wide view, or to follow someone moving through the frame: set the telescopic bar to a comfortable reach, then make the movement from the bar rather than by touching the camera. That telescopic length is useful because you can position your hand where the pan feels manageable; the pan-bar design keeps your input focused on camera movement. It suits operators who want a direct, hands-on way to guide a shot. One practical point: the bar gives you control, but the movement still depends on how steadily you operate it.
