Cokin Filter P144 Net 2 White
Cokin Filter P144 Net 2 White | A soft, net-inspired image effect
Portraits and close-up details can take on a softer, more atmospheric look with the Cokin Filter P144 Net 2 White. This is a colour filter for photographers who want to shape the feel of an image with a white net effect, rather than change the subject itself. It’s worth considering for portraits, beauty images or still-life work where a gentler rendering suits the mood. The name gives you a clear starting point: this is the white version of the Net 2 filter. Think of it as a creative effect to reach for deliberately, not a general-purpose correction filter. Use it when the look is part of your intention, and take it off when you want the scene rendered without that added character. If you’re choosing by effect, the white designation is the detail to keep in mind.
Specialist Note
2 is the specific Net grade named for this P144, so in practice you’re choosing a particular version of the white net effect, rather than just a white colour filter. I’d consider it for a portrait where you want a softer, more romantic feel, or for a carefully arranged still life where a gentler look supports the subject. Keep the effect intentional: make a frame with the filter, then one without, and decide which suits the picture better. This is for photographers who want that net-inspired character; if you’re after a neutral colour change, this isn’t the filter I’d point you to.
