Falcon Eyes Macro LED Lamp DV-3B On Battery

Falcon Eyes Macro LED Lamp DV-3B On Battery: Light close-up subjects from three angles

Three flexible 30.5 cm arms define the Falcon Eyes Macro LED Lamp DV-3B On Battery, with a 1W LED on each arm to place light around a close subject. That three-point arrangement addresses a familiar macro problem: the camera or lens can cast a shadow over the subject when you work at very short distances. The DV-3B is a battery-powered lamp for close-up photography of plants, animals, people and small objects. Its arms bend to position the lights where the subject needs them, while each LED’s brightness adjusts independently and continuously. That gives you separate control over the three light sources rather than one fixed beam. Use it to bring detail to a flower, add light to a small animal, or photograph an object at close range. Red, yellow, blue, green and clear filters, plus focus caps, let you alter the light for the shot.

What it does

• Three 1W LEDs: Each arm carries its own LED, so light comes from three separate positions around the subject. This layout is useful when a single light source leaves parts of a close-up in shadow.
• Independent dimming: Adjust the brightness of each lamp separately and continuously. You can balance the three lights rather than being limited to one shared brightness setting.
• Colour filters: The supplied filters come in red, yellow, blue, green and clear. They give you a way to change the colour of the light for a close-up subject.
• Focus caps: Three included caps focus the light. They provide a more directed option than using the LEDs without the caps.
• Two mounting options: The lamp attaches to a camera hot shoe, and its 1/4-inch female thread also accepts a tripod connection. Choose the mounting point that suits your setup.

Good to know

The DV-3B runs on four AA batteries, which aren’t included, so you’ll need to provide those separately. The control housing measures 110 × 70 × 40 mm. Its compact housing contains the lamp controls, while the three arms extend the light sources around your subject. Those details are worth factoring into your kit when planning a battery-powered close-up setup.
