Formatt Hitech 67-77mm Step Ring For Firecrest 85mm Holder
Formatt Hitech 67-77mm Step Ring For Firecrest 85mm Holder | Bridge two filter sizes
You’ve got a Formatt Hitech Firecrest 85mm Holder, but your filter setup involves a different size: that’s where this step ring earns its place. It’s an adapter ring for the 67–77mm size change, made for use with the Firecrest 85mm Holder. Rather than being a filter itself, it provides the connection between the holder and the corresponding filter-size setup. That makes it relevant when you’re putting together a filter arrangement around this specific holder and need to account for the difference between 67mm and 77mm. Its appeal is straightforward: a clearly defined size and a named holder, without extra features to get in the way. If the Firecrest 85mm Holder is already part of your kit, this ring is a focused way to make that size pairing work in the same setup.
Specialist Note
This step ring handles the size change for a Firecrest 85mm Holder without needing an improvised adapter arrangement. The 67–77mm sizing tells you exactly which size pairing it’s intended to bridge; keep the ring between the matching parts of your setup, then attach the holder. It suits photographers building a filter setup around that specific Firecrest holder, whether they’re arranging filters for a landscape or working with a UV filter in the system. The holder name matters here: this isn’t a general-purpose ring description, but one tied to the Firecrest 85mm Holder. Its role is limited to the size connection, so it won’t replace the holder or a filter.
