Formatt Hitech FC 39mm Superslim Stackable Cir.pol.
Formatt Hitech FC 39mm Superslim Stackable Cir.pol. | Control reflections and deepen skies
Without a polarising filter, reflections on water or glass can compete with the subject, and blue skies may look pale in a photograph. The Formatt Hitech FC 39mm Superslim Stackable Cir.pol. is a circular polarising filter for photographers who want more control over those effects. Rotate the filter while looking through the viewfinder or at the screen to adjust how much reflected light is reduced; the change is easiest to judge as you compose. It can also make clouds appear more defined against a blue sky, depending on the direction you’re shooting. Its 39mm size makes it a specific fit for a lens with a matching filter thread, while the superslim, stackable design is intended for use with other filters. It’s particularly handy for landscapes, scenes beside water and photographs through windows, though the result varies with the light and angle.
Specialist Note
“Will this 39mm Formatt Hitech help with reflections?” Yes, if your lens takes a 39mm filter and you want to adjust glare from water, glass or foliage. I’d rotate it while framing a pond or shop window, stopping when the reflection is reduced but the scene still looks natural. For a stronger change to a blue sky, aim roughly at a right angle to the sun and adjust the filter as you compose. The superslim, stackable design is useful if you’re building a filter setup without adding a bulky profile. One limit to keep in mind: a polariser won’t remove every reflection, and its effect depends on the angle of the light.
