Formatt Hitech FC 62mm Superslim Stackable Cir.pol.
Formatt Hitech FC 62mm Superslim Stackable Cir.pol. | Reduce reflections with a slim, stackable filter
Reflections on water, glass or glossy foliage can distract from the detail you’re trying to photograph. The Formatt Hitech FC 62mm Superslim Stackable Cir.pol. is a circular polarizing filter: turn it to control reflections and, in suitable light, deepen the appearance of blue skies. The effect depends on the angle of the light, so it’s something you can adjust while composing rather than a fixed look. This version is sized for a 62mm filter thread, and its superslim, stackable design suits photographers who want to use a polarizer alongside another filter. It’s particularly useful for landscapes, outdoor details and scenes shot through glass, where unwanted glare can soften contrast or obscure what’s behind the surface. A polarizer won’t remove every reflection, but it gives you a direct way to manage many of them in camera.
Specialist Note
A polarizer can’t cancel every reflection, and its effect changes with your angle to the light; that’s the trade-off. I’d still recommend this Formatt Hitech when you want a 62mm circular polarizer that can sit in a stack without adding a bulky profile. The 62mm size makes it a match for a lens with a 62mm filter thread, so do check the marking on the lens. For a reflective pond or shop window, rotate the filter as you frame the shot and watch the glare change; for a sky, adjust it while looking through the viewfinder or at the screen. It suits landscape and travel photographers who want that control without a deep filter profile.
