The Firecrest ND series by Formatt Hitech presents a novel approach to ND filters, utilizing a coating of unique rare-earth metals to establish hyper-neutral NDs. These Neutral Density, or grey, filters contribute towards decreased exposure across the entire image area.

ND filters serve a wide range of applications, but it is in areas such as long-exposure landscape and brightly lit cityscape photography where they are particularly effective. The Firecrest ND filter by Formatt Hitech boasts a construction of Schott Superwite glass placed in a 5.5mm SuperSlim ring.

The Firecrest ND filters, with their water-resistance and anti-reflective traits, guarantee enhanced contrast and sharpness in your captures. Along with this, their Firecrest coating fortifies them against scratches, ultraviolet rays, and infrared light.
