Fuji Instax Pal 2 Black

Fuji Instax Pal 2 Black | Pocket-sized digital photography, with a playful twist

Fuji Instax Pal 2 Black is a compact digital camera with a fixed lens, an optical viewfinder and a 1.0-inch LCD screen. It's for anyone who likes catching small, unplanned moments and wants a camera that feels playful rather than involved. The Pal 2 saves digital photos, then gives you creative ways to style and share them; it doesn't print photos on its own. Its small size makes it easy to bring along for a walk, a day out or a get-together, so everyday scenes that might pass unnoticed can become photos. For a group picture, use the instax Pal 2 app as a remote control: you can preview the framing and take the shot without holding the camera. There’s also an instax Animation mode, which turns a short sequence into a flipbook-style animation. That gives the camera a character of its own, beyond simply collecting still images. The Black version keeps the focus on spontaneous shooting, with a familiar viewfinder for composing and a screen for checking the camera’s display. Photos can be transferred to a phone and printed using a separate compatible instax printer. It’s a digital camera with an intentionally light, playful approach—and the print options mean you can choose the format later.

What it does

• Optical viewfinder and LCD: Compose through a real optical viewfinder, or use the 1.0-inch LCD screen. Having both gives you two ways to frame a moment.
• App-based remote shooting: The instax Pal 2 app turns your smartphone into a remote control, with a live preview and access to camera settings. It’s handy for self-portraits and group photos where nobody needs to hold the camera.
• Thirty image effects: Choose from five themes, each with six effects, and save up to six favourites for quick access. That’s a range of looks to pick from without starting over each time.
• Ten-frame animation: Instax Animation captures ten images to create a flipbook-style sequence. It adds a moving, playful result to a camera that also takes regular still photos.
• Print-format lever: In still-photo mode, the lever switches between instax mini, SQUARE, WIDE and borderless formats. You can decide which print shape suits a shot after taking it.
• Storage for up to 100 photos: The camera has a microSD card slot and can store up to 100 photos. That gives you space to keep a set of images on the camera before transferring them.
• Bluetooth and USB-C transfer: Move photos to your phone using Bluetooth or USB-C. USB-C transfer takes up to 0.7 seconds per photo, according to the supplied description.

Good to know

Printing requires a separate instax printer; compatible models named in the product information are the mini Link 3, mini Link+, SQUARE Link and Link WIDE. For shooting at an angle that’s difficult to reach by hand, an angle-adjustment accessory is available. The camera also has a tripod socket, a self-timer and a selfie mirror, useful details for setting up a shot with yourself in it.
