FXLion Plate Adapter w/ Tube Connection (D-Tap)

FXLion Plate Adapter w/ Tube Connection (D-Tap) | A clear link for a named connection

Without an adapter in the connection chain, it can be harder to build around the particular connection your setup calls for. This FXLion plate adapter is named for two details: a tube connection and D-Tap. That makes it relevant when those are the connections you’re working with and you want an adapter in the setup. It’s a focused accessory, rather than a general-purpose plate whose role is left vague. The name gives you a useful starting point, but it doesn’t tell the whole story of how it will fit into your rig. I’d treat the named connections as the first things to compare with the parts you already use, before deciding where this adapter belongs. If your setup calls for a different connection, this isn’t the adapter to choose based on the title alone.

Choosing the right place for it

When planning a rig, it helps to map the connection path before adding another part. Start with the plate and the tube connection in your setup, then consider where D-Tap belongs in that arrangement. The product name makes those terms the useful reference points; it doesn’t establish compatibility with a particular camera, battery, plate or tube. So keep the decision grounded in the hardware you need to connect, rather than assuming that the FXLion name alone settles fit. That’s the practical, honest way to assess a specialist adapter: identify the connections you need, then compare them with the ones named here. If those details match your intended setup, this adapter is a specific option to consider. If they don’t, its title gives you little reason to choose it.
