Godox AD21 K1 Electric Adjustable Diffusion Panel (2x1) w/ Carry Bag | Adjust diffusion electrically

Without a diffusion panel, light can fall on a subject with harder-edged shadows than you want. The Godox AD21 K1 is a 2x1 electric adjustable diffusion panel for shaping continuous-light setups, giving portrait photographers and video creators a dedicated surface for softening light. It’s particularly suited to interviews, talking-head videos and portraits where a gentler look matters and you want to adjust the diffusion as part of your lighting setup. The electric adjustment is a practical distinction from a panel you can’t adjust electrically, while the 2x1 format gives you a defined surface to work with. A carry bag comes with it, so the panel has a place to travel or store between setups. Keep in mind that diffusion modifies light from a source; it doesn’t produce light by itself, so plan to use it with a light in your setup.

Specialist Note

For a sit-down interview, I’d start with the 2x1 panel between the continuous light and the subject, then adjust it electrically while shaping the look of the scene. That format gives you a specific diffusion surface to position for a face or upper-body framing, rather than asking you to work with an unspecified sheet of material. I can see this suiting video makers who want a repeatable way to soften interview light, and portrait photographers building a controlled indoor setup. One practical point: the panel needs a light source to work with; it isn’t a light on its own. The carry bag is handy for keeping the panel together when the setup comes down.
