H&Y ND4 Magnetic Filter For RevoRing VND/CPL 46-62mm
H&Y ND4 Magnetic Filter For RevoRing VND/CPL 46-62mm | Add ND filtration to your RevoRing setup
What sets this filter apart is its magnetic design for use with the H&Y RevoRing VND/CPL, rather than being presented as a general-purpose ND filter. It suits photographers and videographers who already use that RevoRing system and want an ND option for controlling light in bright conditions. An ND filter reduces the light reaching the camera, which can help when you want to work with a chosen aperture or shutter speed outdoors. The ND4 designation identifies this filter’s density, so it’s a specific option to add to your setup rather than a variable adjustment. That makes it most useful when you want ND filtration as part of a RevoRing VND/CPL arrangement. If you’re building a kit around this system, it offers a focused way to add ND filtration without choosing a separate filter for an unrelated setup.
Specialist Note
A common ND-filter mistake is choosing one without thinking about how it attaches to the rest of the setup; this one uses a magnetic connection, so it’s made to work with the named RevoRing arrangement. I’d consider it for bright-day video when you want ND filtration as part of that setup, or for outdoor stills when reducing incoming light helps you keep the exposure you’re aiming for. The 46–62mm designation is useful when matching it to the specified RevoRing VND/CPL range. Keep in mind its role is specific: it’s an ND4 add-on for that system, not a general fit for every filter setup.
