Hahnemühle Hemp 290GSM 44 INCHX12 M

Hahnemühle Hemp 290GSM 44 INCHX12 M | Wide paper for longer print runs

Instead of working from individual sheets, this Hahnemühle Hemp paper comes as a 12-metre length for wide-format printing. Its 44-inch width gives you a broad working format, while the 290 gsm weight is a useful figure to consider when choosing paper for a print job. The name also identifies it as Hemp paper. It’s a specialist option for photographers and printmakers who are selecting media by paper type, width and weight, and who want a substantial length on hand for planned printing. Those numbers are the clearest starting point: match the width to the prints you want to make, then consider how much of the roll your work is likely to use. The honest limitation is that the title alone doesn’t tell you how the paper looks or behaves in a finished print, so choose it for the format and paper identity you’re seeking rather than assuming a particular surface or image effect.

The 44-inch width is the key practical detail if you’re planning wide prints; the 12-metre length gives you a continuous amount of media to work with rather than a stated sheet count. That makes it worth thinking through your intended print sizes before you start: width sets the available span, while the roll length is the amount you can draw on across your jobs. The 290 gsm figure gives you a specific paper weight to compare with other media you may be considering. Hahnemühle Hemp is the product name to look for when placing or discussing your paper choice. This description stays with those concrete details, without making claims about finish, colour, ink compatibility or the appearance of the final print. If those qualities matter to your project, base the decision on information for the exact paper rather than reading them into its name or dimensions.
