Hahnemühle Sugar Cane 300GSM 127cmx12m

Hahnemühle Sugar Cane 300GSM 127cmx12m | A wide-format paper roll for photo prints

Plan a photo print up to 127 cm wide, with 12 metres of paper to work through. Hahnemühle Sugar Cane is photo paper in a wide roll format, named for its Sugar Cane range and marked at 300 GSM. It suits photographers and print studios choosing paper for large-format output, especially when a roll fits the way they plan and produce prints. The dimensions give you a clear starting point: compare the paper width with the print size you have in mind, and consider how much length your project will use. The 300 GSM figure is useful when comparing paper by its stated weight. One honest caveat: a product name and weight alone can’t tell you how a particular image will look on the paper, so your intended result should guide the choice. If size and named paper range fit your plan, this is a straightforward option to consider.

Choosing the right format

With a roll this wide, it’s worth thinking in terms of the largest print you expect to make, rather than choosing paper solely by the size of a typical image. Leave room in your planning for any borders or trimming you use; the available paper width sets the starting point, while your layout determines the finished print. The 12-metre length also makes it sensible to estimate how much paper a run of prints might use. That can help you decide whether a roll format suits your workflow better than buying paper in individual sheets. If you’re comparing papers, keep the product name, stated weight and dimensions together in your notes. Those are the details provided here, and they’re enough to distinguish this roll by range, weight and size without assuming how it will render a specific photograph. For a final decision, consider the images you want to print and the dimensions your printer workflow calls for.
