Hama Filter Profi Line Pol Circular Nano 82 mm
Hama Filter Profi Line Pol Circular Nano 82 mm | Adjustable control over reflections
Unlike a clear filter, this Hama circular polarising filter lets you adjust how much reflected light reaches the lens. It’s for photographers who want more control when reflections on water, glass or shiny surfaces distract from the subject, or when they want a stronger-looking blue sky. The effect changes as you turn the filter, so you can judge the result through the camera rather than rely on a fixed setting. This 82 mm version is suited to a lens with an 82 mm filter thread; the size matters when choosing a filter, so match it to the lens. The name also identifies it as part of Hama’s Profi Line and as a Nano model. With no further detail to go on about the Nano designation, I wouldn’t base a buying decision on a particular coating claim. Its clear appeal is adjustable polarisation in an 82 mm size.
Specialist Note
82 mm is the filter thread size, so this one is for a lens marked 82 mm—not a smaller front thread. The circular polarising design is useful when a reflection is getting in the way: turn the filter while looking through the camera and stop when water or a shop window looks clearer, or when the sky looks more defined. I’d suggest it to landscape photographers and anyone photographing through or around glass. The effect depends on the light and your angle to the subject, so it won’t remove every reflection. The Nano name is part of this model’s title, but I’d choose it for its size and polarising control.
