HOLLYLAND SDI Cable (500mm)

HOLLYLAND SDI Cable (500mm) | A half-metre link for SDI setups

HOLLYLAND SDI Cable (500mm) is a half-metre cable for SDI connections, built for camera operators and production teams who need a short cable run in their setup. Its defining detail is the 500mm length: enough to bridge nearby equipment when a longer cable would leave extra slack. It’s a straightforward option for a compact rig or a tidy connection between pieces of SDI equipment. The title identifies the cable as SDI, but doesn’t specify connector details, so I’d keep the choice focused on the connection you need and the reach this length gives you. There’s no mystery to its appeal: it’s a short cable, and that’s exactly where it makes sense.

When choosing a cable length, think about the actual path between the two connection points, not just the distance between the devices. A half-metre run can help keep a close-together setup neater, but it won’t suit every layout. Allow for how the cable needs to travel around or alongside your equipment, too. That’s the practical trade-off with a fixed length: less excess cable to manage when the connection is nearby, but less room to reposition equipment. If your SDI connection is close, this Hollyland cable gives you a clearly defined 500mm run to plan around. Simple, specific, and best judged by the space in your setup.
