Ilford DP100 5x7IN 100

Ilford DP100 5x7IN 100 | A familiar size for photographic prints

Without photo paper in the size you want, a print can require extra trimming or a different layout. Ilford DP100 is photo paper in a 5 × 7-inch format, for photographers who want to make prints at that size. It’s a straightforward option when you’re choosing paper around the finished print dimensions rather than leaving the image only as a digital file. The product name also includes “100”; I’ve kept that as part of the designation rather than guessing what it refers to. The main practical point is the 5 × 7-inch size: decide whether that suits the image and the space you have in mind before you prepare a print. If you’re selecting paper for a particular print, this named format gives you a clear dimension to work with.

Choosing the print size

Print dimensions affect how an image is presented. A photograph composed for one shape may need its framing or crop considered when you prepare it for another, so it helps to settle on the finished size early. With this paper’s 5 × 7-inch format, you can plan your image around those dimensions and judge the result at a defined print size. That’s useful when you’re making a set of prints intended to share a consistent format, or when you simply want a physical copy at this particular size. Keep the product name handy when comparing options: “Ilford DP100 5x7IN 100” identifies the item without relying on an assumed paper type or process. The honest limitation here is that the title alone doesn’t tell you more about the paper’s characteristics, so this description sticks to the product name and stated size.
