Ilford Galerie Prestige Lustre 260 IGPLP A3 25 Vel | Lustre finish for A3 photo prints

Choosing photo paper can get frustrating when the size and finish you want are hard to pin down. Ilford Galerie Prestige Lustre 260 IGPLP is A3 photo paper with a Lustre finish, supplied as 25 sheets. It suits photographers and printmakers preparing A3 photographs who have already decided that this is the finish they want to work with. The useful thing here is the straightforward format: you can plan a small batch of prints without buying a large quantity. It’s also a practical option when you want several copies of an image or a few different photographs in the same paper format. One honest point: the product name tells you the format and finish, but choosing between finishes is personal. If you’re unsure, compare a print on Lustre paper with the look you want before committing to a full run.

A practical way to choose

Start with the print you have in mind. A3 is the stated paper size, so consider whether that’s the finished print format you want for the image, portfolio piece or display. Then think about the Lustre finish: it’s the defining choice in this product’s name, and it’s worth selecting because it suits your preference, rather than because a finish sounds right in the abstract. The pack contains 25 sheets, which gives you room to make a short set of prints or test more than one image at the same size.

If you’re ordering paper for a specific printer or print workflow, make sure the product suits that setup before you begin a batch. Paper and printer choices need to work together, and the result you prefer can depend on the image and how you intend to present it. For a first print, try one image that represents the work you’ll make most often; it gives you a more meaningful basis for deciding whether the finish and size fit your plans. This pack is a focused option: A3, Lustre, 25 sheets.
