Ilford OmniJet Studio Pearl Photo RC Paper 250gsm 111,8cm x 30m

Ilford OmniJet Studio Pearl Photo RC Paper 250gsm 111,8cm x 30m | Wide-format photo printing on a roll

What sets this paper apart is the combination of a Pearl photo surface and a wide, continuous roll format. It’s intended for photo printing, and suits photographers or print teams who need to produce images in a large format rather than work only with individual sheets. The paper is 250gsm, with a width of 111.8cm and a roll length of 30m, giving you a substantial run of material for planned print jobs. The Pearl finish is part of the product’s name; I’d choose it when that surface type is what you’re looking for, rather than assume it will look or feel a particular way in every setup. The practical point is the roll format: plan your print dimensions and cutting around the paper you’ll use. It’s a straightforward option to consider when photo paper in this width and length matches your workflow.

Planning your print run

With roll paper, it helps to think through the job before you start printing. Decide which image sizes you need, allow for any margins your layout requires, and work out how you’ll handle the finished prints after they come off the roll. Those choices depend on your own printer setup and the way you prepare files, so they’re worth sorting out before committing material to a run. This paper’s stated dimensions give you the basic numbers for that planning; they don’t, by themselves, tell you which printer settings to use. If you’re comparing photo papers, keep the paper type and surface name in view alongside the format, rather than choosing by weight alone. That’s a more useful way to judge whether this particular roll fits the work you have in mind.
