Ilford OmniJet Studio Satin Photo RC Paper 200gsm A3+ 329mm x 483mm

Ilford OmniJet Studio Satin Photo RC Paper 200gsm A3+ 329mm x 483mm | Satin finish for considered photo prints

The defining choice here is the satin finish: it gives this photo paper a different surface character from a glossy option. That makes it worth considering when you want the finish itself to be part of the print’s presentation. The paper is an RC photo paper, with a weight of 200gsm, in an A3+ sheet size. It suits photographers and printmakers making larger photo prints, as well as anyone who wants to work with this specific format and finish. The name gives you the key details up front; there’s no need to guess the paper weight or sheet dimensions. One honest point: A3+ takes more room to handle than a small print, so it pays to think about the final image and how you’ll present it before committing to a large sheet. If satin is the look you’re after, this Ilford paper keeps the choice focused.

A3+ for larger prints

The 329 x 483mm sheet gives you a generous working area for a photo print. You can use the page as a larger finished print, or consider the space when planning the image’s composition and margins. That extra room can be useful when a photograph needs breathing space around the subject; it also makes the paper size an important part of your decision, not a detail to leave until later. The satin surface and 200gsm weight are the other defining points to weigh up when choosing this paper. If you’re selecting paper for a particular print, start with the look you want, then decide whether this size suits the image and the place you have in mind for it. This is a specific combination of finish, paper type, weight and dimensions, rather than a general-purpose description of photo paper.
