JJC Olympus Lens Hood LH-66
JJC Olympus Lens Hood LH-66 - Replacement for the Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8 MFT lens
Matching the Olympus LH-66 designation is the defining detail: this JJC lens hood is a replacement for the hood made for the Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8 MFT lens. It’s for photographers who use that zoom and need a replacement for a missing or damaged hood, rather than a hood for a different lens. The pairing is specific, which makes it straightforward to identify when restoring your Olympus lens setup. Use it as the replacement part for the 12-40mm lens, keep it with that lens as part of your regular kit, or fit it when you’re returning the lens to use after its original hood has gone astray. The focal-length range covers wider and tighter framing with the same lens; this JJC hood is the matching LH-66 replacement for that particular setup. It’s a simple accessory with a clear purpose: to replace the Olympus LH-66.
What it does
- Replacement hood: JJC identifies this as a replacement for the Olympus LH-66. It’s the relevant option when the original hood needs replacing.
- Specific lens pairing: It’s listed for the Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8 MFT lens, rather than as a general-purpose hood.
- Made for an MFT lens: The stated compatibility is with the Olympus Micro Four Thirds lens named above. This keeps the product choice tied to the lens it’s intended for.
- Matches the LH-66 designation: The model reference makes it easier to distinguish this replacement from other Olympus lens hoods.
Specialist Note
Photographers moving between wide and tighter framing on the Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8 MFT zoom are the people I’d point toward this replacement. The stated 12-40mm range means one lens covers those framing changes, and the JJC hood is specifically identified for that lens. If your original LH-66 has gone missing, this gives you the matching replacement for that setup; I’d keep it paired with the zoom rather than treat it as a hood for other lenses. The honest boundary is its stated compatibility: the useful match here is the Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8 MFT, not a broader list of lenses.
