Kaiser Repro-Grondplank 60x80cm

Kaiser Repro-Grondplank 60x80cm | A defined base for reproduction work

Reproduction work starts with a clear surface for the subject: the Kaiser Repro-Grondplank gives you a base measuring 60 × 80 cm. It’s a specialist studio accessory for photographers making reproductions, such as images of flat subjects where a consistent working area helps keep the setup organised. The name says what it’s for, and the size gives you a concrete figure to plan around before you arrange your camera and subject. That’s useful when you’re setting aside space in a studio or deciding whether this base suits the subjects you photograph. Its black colour is another simple detail to account for when planning the look of your setup. This is a focused piece of equipment rather than a general studio surface; its appeal is in having a reproduction base in a stated, generous format. If your work calls for a different size, this particular 60 × 80 cm format may not be the one you need.

Planning your reproduction setup

Think about the working area you need for your usual subjects, then compare that with the base’s 60 × 80 cm dimensions. Those measurements give you a practical starting point for deciding how it fits into your reproduction workflow, without guessing at the available surface. They can also help you plan where the base will sit in your studio and how much room to leave around your setup. The Kaiser name and “Repro” in the product title make its intended role clear: a base for reproduction photography. Keep the choice simple and match the format to the work you actually do. For a specialist camera shop, that’s often the most useful question to ask before adding another studio accessory. The colour is black, so you can factor that into how the base will look in your workspace. A straightforward option when the stated size suits your reproduction projects.
