Kaiser RSP Reprozuil w/ Drager
Kaiser RSP Reprozuil w/ Drager | A dedicated support for copy work
When a document or flat piece of artwork needs photographing from above, a regular tripod can be an awkward way to organise the setup. The Kaiser RSP Reprozuil w/ Drager is a tripod accessory for reproduction work, with a repro column and carrier. It’s intended for a copy-photography arrangement, rather than the flexible framing you’d usually want from a general-purpose tripod. That makes it relevant to photographers, studios and anyone digitising flat originals who wants a support made for this particular job. Use it as the starting point for copying documents, prints or similar material; the final result still depends on your lighting, camera position and the original itself. The black finish gives it a straightforward, work-focused appearance. If your main need is a support to carry outdoors or reposition frequently, this is a specialist piece for a more settled reproduction setup, not a substitute for a general tripod.
Specialist Note
For copying flat originals, the Kaiser RSP Reprozuil w/ Drager is a more direct solution than trying to arrange a regular tripod over a work surface. I’d consider it for document digitising or copying small artwork: lay the original flat, arrange even light, then position your camera for a straight-on view. The repro column gives this accessory its specific purpose, while the included carrier is part of the setup named in the product. Its black colour suits a practical studio environment, though colour alone doesn’t tell you how it handles reflections around a subject. It’s aimed at repeatable copy work, not quick changes of viewpoint or travel photography.
