Kondor Blue KB-DMC-BK Director's Monitor-Kern Bracket Raven Black
Kondor Blue KB-DMC-BK Director's Monitor-Kern Bracket Raven Black | A dedicated bracket for director’s monitor setups
The defining decision here is a bracket named for a director’s monitor: its purpose is clear from the product itself, rather than being presented as a general camera accessory. The KB-DMC-BK is for filmmakers and crew members putting together a director’s monitor setup who need a component specifically identified for that role. Its Raven Black finish gives the part a dark, understated look alongside a black camera rig. The value is in that focused identity: it’s easier to choose a component with a clearly named place in your setup than to guess from a broad accessory label. Use it as part of your director-monitor arrangement, planning where it belongs alongside the rest of the rig. The product title doesn’t establish a mounting standard or a particular monitor fit, so I’d keep the decision anchored to the role it’s actually named for: a director’s monitor bracket.
Specialist Note
At a pre-roll briefing, the director checks the monitor while the crew gets set; this is the sort of setup where the KB-DMC-BK has a clear place. I like that it’s identified as a director’s monitor bracket, not left as an anonymous piece of rigging. Think of it as a one-role component: plan it into the monitor arrangement, then position the rest of the setup around that intended use. Raven Black also keeps the finish visually quiet beside dark rig parts. It suits crews building a dedicated director-monitor setup; its appeal is specificity, not versatility, so I wouldn’t buy it expecting a general-purpose bracket.
