Kondor Blue KB-MB-TSK Matte Box Triple Tray Stage Kit
Kondor Blue KB-MB-TSK Matte Box Triple Tray Stage Kit | Organise a three-tray matte-box setup
When a production calls for a planned filter arrangement, a matte box with multiple tray stages can give the setup a clear structure. The Kondor Blue KB-MB-TSK is named as a triple tray stage kit for a matte box, so its defining detail is the three-tray format. It’s aimed at camera operators and crew who are building or organising a matte-box setup around multiple tray positions, rather than shopping for a standalone UV filter. The title doesn’t identify a camera system or give a detailed list of what the kit includes, so I’d keep the decision focused on the matte-box arrangement you need. If three tray stages match the way you want to organise a setup, this is a specifically named Kondor Blue kit to consider. Its value is in that defined format, not in a claim about a particular camera or shooting style.
Planning around the tray stages
Think through the arrangement you want before choosing a kit: the three-tray designation gives you a clear count to work with when planning a matte-box setup. That can be useful when you want separate positions for a considered filter arrangement, or when a crew needs to agree on a repeatable layout before a scene. The kit name identifies the format, but doesn’t give grounds to assume a particular filter size, mounting method or camera fit. Treat those as decisions for the wider rig, and make sure the rest of your setup is appropriate for the way you intend to use the trays.
Specialist Note
Keeping a matte-box arrangement clear is easier when the kit is built around a defined tray count, and that’s the practical point of this Kondor Blue set. It’s a triple tray stage kit: three positions give you a specific layout to plan, rather than leaving the number of stages open-ended. I’d consider it for a crew preparing a repeatable filter arrangement for a controlled interior scene, or for organising tray positions between planned setups. The matte-box designation is also important: this is a kit for that kind of rig, not a UV filter by itself. My advice is to choose it when three stages suit your workflow; the product name alone doesn’t establish a camera-system fit.
