Kondor Blue KB-ML-M-BK Mini Lock Quick-Change Plates
Kondor Blue KB-ML-M-BK Mini Lock Quick-Change Plates | Make tripod changes simpler
Move a camera between tripod setups with less interruption, so a change in position doesn’t turn plate handling into a separate task. The Kondor Blue KB-ML-M-BK Mini Lock Quick-Change Plates are a tripod accessory built around a quick-change design. They suit photographers and camera operators who regularly reposition a camera on tripod support and want plate changes to fit more naturally into their working routine. You might use them when switching from a main tripod position to another tripod-based setup, or when repositioning a camera between takes. The idea is to make the change at the plate interface, then get back to composing your shot. Their role is deliberately focused: these are for managing tripod plate changes, not for replacing your tripod or camera. If plate handling is already part of your setup routine, the quick-change approach is the reason to consider them.
Specialist Note
The quick-change approach is where these plates have their clearest job: helping you move between tripod setups without treating each change like a fresh rigging task. I’d consider them for a session that alternates between two tripod positions, or when you need to reposition a camera between takes; keep your plate arrangement consistent and make the change at the plate interface. “Mini” points to a compact format, while “Lock” signals the locking element of the design. Those names make the priorities clear, without suggesting extra functions. They suit someone whose work regularly involves tripod changes. The honest limit is that their benefit is specific to that workflow; they don’t provide tripod support by themselves.
